BMR Suspension has created two unique systems to nearly eliminate bushing and cradle deflection. Why is this important? A reduction in bushing and cradle deflection lessens wheel hop under hard acceleration, increasing traction to get you to the finish line first!

The S550 Cradle Bushing Insert Kit simply fills the voids in the factory rubber bushings utilizing CNC laser cut and formed stainless steel inserts and bushing lockout plates that work in conjunction with the front cradle support plates to reduce bushing deflection. This kit is the most affordable way to accomplish this with no change in noise, vibration or harshness (NVH).

The S550 Mustang Cradle Bushing Lockout Kit is also designed to eliminate bushing deflection and is also designed to keep the rear differential cradle centered under all driving conditions. Positively locating the cradle under the center of the car keeping the tires planted inside the wheel wells, preventing tire rub and improving handling performance. The large lugs on the braces also create an easy to locate and high strength jacking point for the rear of your Mustang, making wheel and tire changes at the track quicker.

Throughout testing, BMR has seen about an 80%-90% reduction in fore/aft and lateral cradle bushing deflection. A car with no other mods and stock tires that isn’t driven overly hard is going to see a 90% or higher reduction, while a more race oriented S550 with sticky tires will see slightly less of a reduction. Launching the test vehicle at over 7,000 rpm on drag radials, BMR saw about an 80% reduction in bushing deflection. Through the testing BMR has seen a 95% or greater reduction in vertical deflection in all testing situations. When performance is a must, rely on BMR Suspension!

Built from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, stainless steel, and heavy-duty 1 5/8-inch DOM steel tubing, BMR’s CB005 Cradle Bushing Lockout Kit is designed to nearly eliminate cradle bushing deflection, which is one of the biggest causes of wheelhop. BMR’s CB005’s billet aluminum upper bushing lockout rings capture the inner bushing sleeve (front and rear) and the outer lip of the bushing cup on the cradle (front). The lower bushing locating washers (front) capture the bottom portion of the bushings’ inner sleeves. By capturing both parts of the bushings’ inner sleeves, movement on any plane (fore/aft, lateral, and vertical) is nearly eliminated. This assembly is completed with bolt-on cradle braces that replace the factory sheer plates. The large lug on the cradle side of the braces positively locates the cradle, ensuring it is perfectly centered under the car. The two bolts in the frame ensure the location of the cradle can’t change under any form of driving.

BMR Suspension designed the CB005 Cradle Bushing Lockout Kit for any application. This 100% bolt-on kit use existing boltholes and hardware, allowing for easy installation with simple hand tools. Once installed, the Cradle Bushing Lockout Kit minimized bushing and cradle deflection with nearly no change in NVH. (During BMR’s testing, no change in NVH was observed without accompanying modifications.) The cradle brace also gives a convenient, rock-solid jacking point on the rear of the vehicle. This single kit helps address wheelhop, bushing deflection, and cradle movement, unlike other companies that make you buy multiple parts to get the entire “system.” You would spend well over double the price, and those “systems” don’t provide you with the performance and value-per-dollar that the CB005 gives you. BMR Suspension’s CB005 Cradle Bushing Lockout Kit is the only part you need to affordably and effectively lessen wheelhop, bushing deflection, and cradle movement.
