2024 Ford Mustang GT Fastback Parts and Accessories

Although the global car industry is moving towards EVs and sustainable energy sources, car fans everywhere are happy that the undisputed king of the muscle car class is returned for the 7th generation. The 2024 Ford Mustang GT is once again the best choice if you want a massive V8, great power, fantastic soundtrack and involving driving dynamics paired with smoky burnouts. The S650 Mustang EcoBoost might be great value, but the 2024 Mustang GT S650 is what everybody wants. Despite the thorough redesign, new exterior, interior and features, the Mustang GT still offers a good old formula that remains relevant and desirable for almost 60 years.

The good news is that the venerable Coyote 5.0-litre V8 is back and with more power and better tech, guaranteeing even better performance and feel. This is a Gen 4 engine which has several key differences over the outgoing motor. First, it has a double intake manifold along with a revised injection and cylinder head. It results in a healthy 480 hp and 562 Nm of torque. Interestingly, when the Active Exhaust option is installed, the engine produces 486 hp. It is more than the Gen 3 engine in the outgoing model. The new engine also has a higher compression ratio, higher red line (at 7,150 rpm or 7,250 rpm with Active Exhaust Option) and slightly better fuel economy. The 2024 Mustang GT Fastback needs 13.4 litres of petrol for 100 km of average driving. The GT is available as a 6-speed manual (standard version) or 10-speed automatic (around $4000 option). The base spec model is a Fastback coupe, but the GT Convertible can be ordered at an additional cost. All 2024 Mustang GTs for the Australian market will come with an auxiliary engine oil cooler to endure extreme temperatures.

The 2024 Mustang GT Fastback is easily recognizable by its more aggressive stance, different front and rear bumper, bonnet vents and quad exhaust pipes. And, of course, "GT" badging on the side and on the rear. The 2024 Mustang GT interior is improved over the EcoBoost model, with the most significant change being an instrument cluster. It is now one big display with two screens which are not physically divided like on four-cylinder models. All 2024 Mustang GTs will have Sync 4 software as standard, Apple Car Play and Android Auto compatibility, a flat-bottom steering wheel and a customizable instrument cluster. The high level of standard features will include all the EcoBoost equipment, plus leather seats, staggered 19-inch wheels with performance rubber, Brembo brakes, a unique hood with cooling ducts, an active exhaust system, Drift brake and LED headlights. The 2024 S650 GT will also get driver’s apps, driving mods, and the launch control for manual-equipped models. The dashboard layout is the same, with a 12.4-inch customizable digital cluster and a 13.2-inch infotainment screen. The Bang & Olufsen premium audio is also standard.

The 2024 Ford Mustang GT colour palette consists of 11 colours, three racing stripe shades, six types of wheel designs and so on. However, the Australian 2024 Mustang GT has few more options than the EcoBoost and first on the list are Recaro seats at $2,950, which are a must-have if you plan to track your car. The GT Appearance Package will add $1,500, and you will get racing stripes and a unique rear spoiler. The mighty MangneRide suspension will set you back $2,950, and add red Brembo calipers. There is also the Black Pack, a $1,500 appearance package that will include black “5.0” badges, black mirror caps, black roof and black wheels. If you select the MagneRide option, your car will have red Brembo brake callipers, as mandatory. At the same time, if you opt for the GT Appearance Pack, you cannot get the MagneRide or Black Pack. However, if you choose the Black Pack, you can get the MagneRide option along with it.
